The Long Lake is currently being used to grow on carp for the Front and Back Lakes, anglers are welcome to look about but it is closed for fishing. East Delph Lakes has a stocking policy of only introducing English carp less than 4 years old and under 15lb in weight. 90% of the new fish have been three year old carp averaging 5lb in weight. 2017 will see the carp spawned on site form part of the stocks. The stocking process began over the winter of 2014; some of the carp doubled in weight in their first summer and the front runners are already hitting 20lb.
